Popcorn Festival Car Show
The Popcorn Festival Car Show is always held on the Sunday of festival weekend, which is the weekend after Labor Day each year. For 2011 the date will be Sunday, September 11. The show is held in Shoup Park, located at 1341 Meadowbridge Dr in Beavercreek. Registration for the OPEN Class is from 9-12 and awards are around 3:30 for the Top 25. Cost is $10.00 at the gate
The show is both an INVITATIONAL & OPEN class event and for 2011 the Invitational classes are: Street Rod; Street Machine; Sports Car; Truck; American Classic; Muscle Car; Class of ’71; and Camaro. The Class of ’71 is devoted to the 40th anniversary of the 1971 vehicles and the Camaro class is devoted to that American icon that disappeared from the new automotive scene and is now back
DJ music is provided by Good Vibrations and the Boy Scouts will be serving food and beverages at the show.
Plenty to do for your significant-other as there are over 200 festival booths on Dayton-Xenia Rd devoted to food & beverages and crafts. There is even a children’s area if you want to bring the grand kids. Live music is performed on stage in the Kroger parking lot.
